The DeLonghi EC155 Espresso Maker has the ability to control the water and steam pressures separately. The espresso machine is able to do this because it features two separate thermostats. The temperature features of the DeLonghi EC155 allow for perfect brewing capabilities for both espressos and cappuccinos. The durable stainless broiler allows the espresso maker to pump down to 15 bars pressure. The DeLonghi EC155 espresso machine is cable of going through a self start sequence to avoid the typical annoying espresso machine start-up process. What's really cool about this machine is that it takes both coffee grounds and E.S.E pods. This machine boasts a perfect crema or espresso head. This is accomplished by mixing air into the brewing process via the filter.

Whether you are a cappuccino fan or love lattes, your going to love the adjustable swivel jet that allows you to steam and froth milk. The unit even has a removable dip tray so that you can remove the tray for easy cleaning. The water tank is removable for simple filling. It also makes the water tank easier to clean.

Reviewers feel that the DeLonghi EC155 is a great looking machine with a fast heat up time and a good frothing wand.  It is noted that there is not a waiting time between frothing and brewing.  The machine however, does need to be cleaned about once a month to clear any build up of coffee grounds.  A lot of these problems can be avoided by using a burr grinder versus a traditional coffee grinder.

The crema is thick and delicious.  The steam wand is extremely powerful and easily froths milk.  One commenter mentioned that they use the machine daily and have not had any problems with the espresso maker.  So, this is a durable unit that will allow you to make all of your specialty coffee drinks.   This is a pump driven machine, which is a feature of the more expensive espresso machines.  The DeLonghi EC 155 espresso maker is an affordable machine that also offers features of some of the more expensive espresso machines.
